Tomi Popovic is a multitalented composer, singer, producer, lyricist, hitmaker and musical visionary with more than thirty years of experience in the international music industry. After leaving Slovakia he spent many years in the United States, mainly in Chicago and Los Angeles, building an international career and gaining experience on the largest music market in the world.

During his time in the USA he worked with major names and projects of the global music scene, including Backstreet Boys, Snoop Dogg, Patti LaBelle, The Underdogs, Mike Phillips, Jill Scott, Al B. Sure, Babyface, DJ White Shadow, Kindred the Family Soul, Harvey Mason Jr. and Olivia of G-Unit. These collaborations let him grow not only as a producer, but also as a composer, performer and songwriter with international reach.

His major breakthrough came in Japan, where he released two albums on the prestigious labels Sony Music Japan and Toys Factory. Both albums were commercial successes and his music charted high on Japanese sales and airplay rankings alongside the biggest domestic and international artists.

His singles „You Can Tell Me“ and „Party With You“ were among his most successful recordings on the Japanese market and greatly boosted his popularity in Asia. On the back of this success he played a ten date tour of Japan opening for Backstreet Boys, becoming one of the first Slovak artists to achieve such success on the international music scene.

In the United States he released his debut album through EMI Records and Rosehip Records, launching his international recording career, and toured the USA on his promo run. As a producer he worked on projects for several music companies and labels, including Hidden Beach Recordings, the label associated with Michael Jordan.

Back in Europe, Tomi Popovic became one of the most distinctive and successful writers, producers and hitmakers of modern Slovak and Czech pop. At the same time he developed his own career as a performer, touring, releasing successful songs and regularly appearing in the charts.

Over his career he has created a wealth of hits for leading artists including Dara Rolins, Tina, Separ, Rytmus, Ego, Ben Cristovao, Monika Bagarova, Maria Cirova, Lucie Vondrackova, Momo and Nela Pociskova. He is the author, co-author or producer of songs such as Pribeh, Nebo Peklo Raj, Kazdy den, Mam ta v hlave, Vysnena, Neviem sa najst and many other hits that became a defining part of the Slovak and Czech pop scene.

His work has earned several major awards, including a Zlaty Slavik in the Hit of the Year category for Nebo Peklo Raj. The song Pribeh won the SOZA award for the most played Slovak song of 2010. His writing and production have reached hundreds of millions of streams, plays and views across digital platforms, making him one of the most successful Slovak music authors of his generation.

Tomi Popovic also has an extensive body of audiovisual work. His credits include the feature film Granny, shot in the USA, numerous concert projects, television performances and dozens of music videos. His work reaches beyond music itself, connecting music production, film, image, live performance and modern entertainment.

Beyond his own artistic work, he is dedicated to songwriting, music production, artist development, publishing, mentoring young talent, international collaboration and building projects with global potential. Drawing on experience from the American, Asian and European markets, he connects different musical cultures, develops new talent and creates projects with strong commercial, artistic and social impact.
